Welcome to an exciting new year!
As some of you may already be aware, my business is currently undergoing some changes, upgrades and improvements ready to see in the new year with a better and more reliable service for all my existing customers and for new customer joining.
Billing + Customer Portal Changes
The most major of these improvements is a change to the software used for billing and customer account management. I will now be using a much more powerful and full-featured billing software known as WHM Complete Solution, one that is very common in the web hosting world. WHMCS allows for complete control of your billing and management of your services entirely from a single customer portal.

As a result of this change, unfortunately there will be a need for all existing customers to do a few things too, including:
- New passwords will need to be set on your new account in the new system. Instruction for how to do this can be found here: How-To: Reset your account portal password
- Once your password has been set and you are logged into the new portal, you will need to follow the email address confirmation process, link found at the top of the portal main page.
- For those of you who have PayPal subscriptions in place for any of your services, these will need to be cancelled, then re-setup once your next invoice is issued.
Accounting Changes
Accounting methods are also getting an overhaul thanks to the implementation of the Xero accounting software which automagically integrates with WHMCS.
Anyone who is using Xero for their business can apply with me to enable eInvoicing (automatically creates a draft bill in your Xero instance when an invoice is issued). For instructions on setting this up, please follow this guide: How-To: Setup eInvoicing with Xero.
New Products
A number of new product offerings will become available in the near future too, such as better hosting options, business grade SSL Certificates, VPN Access, Virtual Private Servers, Email Only Hosting, plus much more. Check-out the new store front and see what's on offer! Storefront
Changes to existing Shared Hosting Services
Shared hosting services will now be set as Legacy products. Existing shared hosting customers can continue to use their services and I will continue to support you, however, no new shared hosting services will be made available. If you would like to upgrade your service to one of our newer products, contact me to today to discuss your options.
Shared hosting services will also be receiving a pricing structure change that will take effect from your next invoice on/after January. More about this pricing change can be found here: Shared Hosting Services - Pricing Increase (January 2025)
Name Change
To better reflect the direction that I wish to take this company, a new slightly different name has also been chosen for the company - Johnno's Technology Solutions
The focus will now primarily be around providing my customers and any potential new customers with technical solutions tailored to their business, be it online or on-premise.
